Distance is no Hindrance

With everything that’s happening in Metro Manila, I’m glad we live in a time where modern technology makes it easier for us to share the love of Christ to those who are in need. Just because we’re not there physically doesn’t mean we can’t do anything. I’m reminded of when Paul took time to write letters, and lengthy letters at that, to the believers in the different churches he helped establish. There was no social media then, no online banking, no text messaging. But Paul took time, actually MADE time, to help, to pray, to encourage.

Today, I am reminded that distance is no hindrance. We’re never too far to help.

Before I went to bed last night, I posted a status message on Facebook and tagged some of my friends:

 

As of this writing, I have already received messages from people who have committed to give cash donations.
